Anybody knows the General Availability of datamart?

Hi,

I love datamarts. It is a great solution for medium sized entreprises. It allows to replace the DBA in most projects and to develop at maximum speed.

The functionnality is still in Preview. Does anybody knows when it will be General Availability? Do you see any risk of deprecation?

@JoelGagnon Sadly, I don't think it will ever GA. Not with Fabric. I'm pretty certain that datamarts were the final nail in the coffin when it came to Power BI Premium as a stand-alone product sans Fabric.

Hi Greg,

I asked the question to Adam Saxton (Guy in a Cube). This is not decided. My guess is that it will be rewritten for a Fabric Engine, so that a Fabric Capacity will be needed. This is not the case so far. A simple PPU licence is enough now, as I wrote in may book.
