Workspace list not showing of logged-in user in Transformation Data section

Hi Team,

We have to different accounts created for different regions in Power BI Service. When I try to login with different account in Power BI Desktop I can see  worksapces related to that user while publishing the report as below which has two workspaces:

But when I go to transformation section and try to import new dataflow from the workspace I'm still getting list of workspaces belogs to previous user (around 175). Although I had logged in with new user.

Things I tried:

1) Given Admin access to the new user

2) Cleard all catche from the Power BI Desktop

3) Dataflows are refreshed in the workspace

Thanks!

Hi All,

Just got a solution for this. We need to also change Data Source settings in the Transform Data section for both current file and global permissions.

Hi @danishwahab Since you already tried clearing cache try clearing Global permissions and try these also please

  • Clear Global Permissions: Go to File > Options and Settings > Data Source Settings, and clear global permissions for the old account.
  • Ensure Proper Logout: Fully log out of Power BI Desktop and the Power BI Service, then log back in with the new account.
  • Restart Power BI Desktop: Restart after logging in with the new user to refresh the transformation section.
If this post helped please do give a kudos and accept this as a solution
    Thanks In Advance
