Calculation groups (time intelligence) with the new card visual

Hi everyone,

I'm remodelling older reports with new functionallity.

I made use of the Calculation Groups to keep everything clean.

Now I want to make use of the new Card visual and add measures to the Reference Label part to show time intelligence (vs LM i.e.), but I'm unable to add the time intelligence group (or even a single calculation item - which would be fine as well) to this field.

Am I doing anything wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Hello! I was also hoping I could just drag-and-drop my Calculation Group into the Reference Label field instead of creating multiple measures for different contexts (e.g., duration variance, team vs. company, etc.) but it's currently not possible. I'm not a DAX guru so I can't expand on the nature of SELECTEDMEASURE(), so I can only guess it has something to do with that.

I asked ChatGPT for a workaround, I am yet to test it (if I have the bandwidth), but it looks like it's gonna require more work than the actual value that the end-users can get from it (i.e., providing them with a simple table chart wherein I can use the Calculation Group).

If you managed to find an effective and efficient solution, please do share! Cheers!

Hi  @ferdri3 ,

The display is normal on my end and I can't reproduce your scene:

Can you share the time intelligence function after using it, as some time intelligence function results show a table instead of individual data, so it shows an error after placing it.

If it's convenient, can you provide screenshots of the problem or share sample data without sensitive data, we can help you better .

Best Regards,

Liu Yang
